GN 9120 Midi
What separates the GN 9120 from other wireless systems? Security. The GN 9120 uses the Digital Spread Spectrum (DSS) protocol, originally developed for secure military communications, transmitting on a frequency of DECT, vs. the more common 900 MHz analog frequency. The DECT frequency is less crowded, offering superior signal with more clarity and less interference with other wireless devices, like WiFi networks. To prevent eavesdropping, the GN 9120 features a multi-layered security system. First, the signal “hops” 90 times per second for security that’s virtually airtight. Second, 64-bit encryption scrambles your voice when it’s traveling between the headset and base station. And finally, the smart power management system controls the signal range. For instance, if you’re 5 meters away from the base, that’s as far as the signal broadcasts, protecting your voice from eavesdropping outside of that range.
