Each IP call point in our nurse call solution is its own RTLS beacon, enabling tracking of staff, patients and medical assets for duress, movement and location throughout the site.

Real Time Location System (RTLS)
Our nurse Call includes “Built In” Real Time Location System (RTLS)
- Each RTLS Call Point has “Built In” dual technology RTLS capability for 100% room accuracy.
- Each RTLS device has battery life and automatic reporting of low battery conditions.
- RTLS Mapping (If required) shows real time location of all devices and the ability to locate any single device or groups of devices via a simple ‘point & click’ interface.
- RTLS Reporting has the ability to report on the movement of any RTLS device within the facility over a period of time.
RTLS Asset Tags
- Monitoring – The RTLS Tag tracks essential equipment and assets within the facility, including medical equipment, crash carts, heavy lifting equipment, IT equipment or any high value / high use asset.
- The Asset Tags are easily attached to an asset.
- The RTLS Tag has an internal tamper feature such that if a tag is removed from an asset or the asset is being removed from the facility an alarm can be activated on the Nurse Call System.
RTLS Staff Badges
Workflow – the system reports historically on Staff Badge locations throughout the facility, enabling the system to utilise this intelligence to automatically acknowledge nurse call requests when they are attended. When the responding staff member enters a resident’s room the system automatically time and date stamps the event along with the staff member’s name, cancel the active call and temporarily raise the priority of all call stations whilst the staff member remains in the room.
The RTLS Staff Badge have built in Duress buttons enabling staff to summon urgent assistance to their current location. The current location is sent via the cordless message system in Real Time to enable assistance to be sent to their current location, even whilst moving.

- Staff alerts are shown on annunciator panels and cordless handsets and as such the staff member can go from that location to the source straight away.
- If the staff member moves through the facility and moves into a new “area” of the RTLS (another sensor) the details updates on the displays and handsets.
RTLS Pendant
The RTLS Pendant tracks within the facility for reporting and future alerting when residents enter into certain zones they are not permitted. Messages can be then sent to annunciators and cordless handsets to alert Staff of the resident’s location.
The RTLS Pendant have a built in Nurse Call button enabling mobile residents to initiate a call for assistance complete with identification of their location within the building.
RTLS Beacon
The RTLS Beacon is a ceiling mounted device that provides coverage in areas within the facility that do not have RTLS Nurse Call Buttons. Areas such as back of house, doorways, basements etc. are locations that may require additional beacons. These generate a location of the alarm (to beacon receiving alarm).
RTLS Beacons have the ability to generate ‘geo fencing’ alarms. When designated Resident Pendants, Asset Tags or Staff Badges enter or leave nominated areas.
RTLS Beacons have an integrated voltage free relay contact that can be activated when specific Resident Pendants, Asset Tags or Staff Badges enter or leave nominated areas. The contact provides the ability for the Nurse Call System to override the lock state of an Access Controlled Door to either release or lock.
